WHAT IS MULESING?

Mulesing is a routine method in which farmers remove the skin around a lamb's breech and tail to prevent flystrike, in order to prevent their sheep from being killed by infections. It is a painful and traumatizing surgical procedure. Nooteboom Textiles does not support these farmers and is against animal cruelty. No animal should suffer in order to fulfill human needs.

Mulesing_Free

Hereby we confirm that our wool products (e.g. 04578 / 20020) are produced of yarn which is mulesing-free. Until there is an official certification for this, you can use the declaration below and show your customers that you also care about animal wellbeing.
