Let summer begin! 🌊

This outfit totally gives me the summer vibes. A loose fit without being too oversized. And then that surf-vibes print with the beautiful sea blue of the shorts 🩵

Her favorite…

Before I went to the showroom of @nooteboomtextiles I already looked at the website with the kids.
This print of a toucan and flowers was Lize's immediate favorite. It took her way too long before the dress was ready 😉
And because she liked this print so much I also made a legging with a shirt in the purple of the print. The matching flower patch was a lucky bonus!

☀️ Bikini Ready ☀️

Sunshine and style! ☀️🌊

@nic_naait is rocking this stunning bikini! This UPF50 fabric is perfect for beach days and poolside lounging!

Yes, I am really in a sunny mood. I can tell by my sewing projects, I am just really looking forward to summer!☀️

Sweater weather

It's still cold so I made a nice warm sweater for the girls! And that was a hit, because they didn't want to take it off anymore.

I mixed the autumn/winter with spring/summer collection of @nooteboomtextiles because the color of the sweater came back nicely in both.

💛🧡❤️🩷💚🩵💙💜

When one likes to give kisses and the other likes to be picked up.
And I just really felt like doing a summer sewing project ☀️

After making Beau's coat, there was still a piece of the quilted heart fabric left. Perfect to make a bodywarmer for myself!

My visit to

Curious about my visit to @nooteboomtextiles last week? Then take a look.
And what I'm going to make of it? To be continued.

💙💙💙💙

Hearts:
💙 For the girl
💙 For the fabric
💙 For the labels
💙 For the lovely Dutch picture, on the coast, with a self-earned Unox hat (yes, she participated in the New Year's dive 🥶)
The coat is very nice because it is a bit longer, and the pockets fit nicely into the front seam, and the fabric is a nice plain dark blue, but not boring because of the stitched hearts.

🎄 Christmas crafts 🎄

We received a package with all kinds of beautiful Christmas fabrics from @nooteboomtextiles and made something for Christmas!

All doable for kids, and all free patterns!

‘Let go of perfection and enjoy the proces of making something together’ is important with this one 😉 but they are so proud of their Christmas crafts that hang shining in their own Christmas tree!

The pattern pieces for the flags and Christmas tree pendants can be found on the Nooteboom website.

🎄 Christmas crafts 🎄

✨ All that glitters ✨

This fabric has everything that makes the magpie in me happy ✨
Soft, stretchy, no itchy threads, and such a beautiful shine.
I did my best to get it on screen for you. It really is a very warm golden color with glitter. No disco ball glitter but a beautiful chic shine.
And that looks best in a top with some wrinkles like this beautiful pattern.

❄️Let the cold come❄️

I chose the fabric in the showroom of @nooteboomtextiles
A little more about the fabric; double-sided (so you don't actually need to line the jacket), corduroy, feels very soft and wonderfully warm because of the wadding ☺️

A twin outfit🍂

It's still possible, especially with a (life)timeless print like these small autumn leaves.

Fabric: wonderfully soft and supple jersey

SUMMER DRESS

This dress of course matches very nicely with black, but yes, black is not really my thing so I made it an outfit with some pink anyway 🩷

And as you can see from the pictures; it is a dress in a print for many occasions; office, casual and a party!

Fabric: The fabric feels very smooth and is a bit heavier, so the dress falls through nicely. On the site it is called a “twill cotton stretch” but so it does not feel like a cotton. The fabric is available for next summer because it is part of the summer '25 collection from Nooteboom Textiles.

SUMMER TOP

Love at first sight when I saw this fabric 🩷

And apparently for you too, because what a lot of reactions I got on my stories about this fabric!

I was asked to make something with the 1-meter-samples of this fabric from the summer 2025 collection of Nooteboom Textiles and chose a twinning outfit.

And the good news: now the fabric is available for fabric stores to order so I would say; tip your favorite fabric store so you can make your own beautiful outfit with it soon!

I am very curious to see what you will make from this beautiful fabric!

Velvet Dress

🤎 The dress 🤎

Some more info of THE dress, the one I have been thinking about for so long and put together in just 2 evenings. It's the dress where I had a great #nlfrocktails evening in.

This was due to the simplicity and clear explanation of the pattern as well as the fine quality of the stretch velvet, which processes very nicely. Nice and warm, thick enough not to see every little bump, and so soft, really, you want to keep touching the fabric.

Softshell outdoor play-onesie

🍂🌧️ Everyday Outdoor Play Day 🌧️🍂❄️

Nothing more fun than playing outside anyway. But sometimes it's a shame when those nice (homemade) clothes get covered in mud stains.
Or cold, especially when you have to join them early on Saturday morning to watch your big brother and sister on the sports field.
That's why I made a lovely “outdoor play-onesie. The fabric is ideal; softshell on the outside (so water repellent) and fleece on the inside (so wonderfully soft and warm).

I added welt fabric with a thumb hole on the sleeves for extra warm little hands. And for the pockets, I used the fleece side of the fabric.
